From athletics to academics, hypnotherapy can successfully be used to help our children.
Parents interviewed for this Tennessee television report have said that hypnosis therapy has really helped their child overcome big fears they thought they'd never get over.
Common areas where hypnosis can help children include test taking anxiety, going to the dentist, receiving injections, and performing to their best ability in sports, school, and the arts.
Test taking anxiety is a growing burden for our children as standardized and other high stakes tests show up several times each year even in the early elementary grades. That along with team try outs and auditions can often push our young people past their limits of coping. Our children are usually not equipped to handle this type of stress.
However, using a hypnosis session as an active day dream for children allows them to practice the behaviors and feelings they wish to have in these situations.
Fourteen year old, Kendall Kukta, a competitive cheerleader interviewed for the report stated, "Other than helping you through being scared or whatever you're going through...It helps you just really feel good about yourself." She went on to say, " I think it made me believe in myself a little bit more and be able to visualize myself doing it so that I can do it."
Raising happy, confident, successful kids is a goal for every parent. Why not add hypnosis to your parental tool-box this summer?
